The Winner

It's hard to be a winner
You have to push yourself to run the race
Everyone cares if you practice
With 110% as the pace

If you feel kind of poorly at game time
You tighten your lip and go
There's no way out so don't worry
Because your teammates will always know

You always think about winning
Concentration will take care of old number one
Then when the going gets rugged
You play harder until the final gun

Living the role of the winner
You are always a hero in life
There's room for bitching and complaining
But you never yell loud enough to cause strife

Preparing and hustling at full speed
You stay away from being called a jerk
Strive for more than you have too
And there's no problem with the extra work

Teamwork and Dedication
This makes a winner of you
Keep your head up and follow the rules
Because you know they're not new

You're only as good as your last performance
Be responsible and accept some blame
Don't let everyone else shoulder the load
A winner knows that's the name of the game

If this is the game you want to play
You really have nothing to fear
You get to work every morning
And smile and organize your gear
